The opportunistic transactional con artistry of the somatic narcissist
We live in a world filled with opportunists, swindlers, scammers, con artists, fraudsters, grifters, and similar gutter dwellers looking for “something for nothing.”
Narcissists come in different flavors, too.
Somatic narcissists get their narcissistic supply by using their bodies. Somatic narcissists use their sexuality as a tool to gain control in relationships and as proof of their desirability and status. They have a high sense of entitlement which essentially means they always deserve whatever they desire without investing time, energy, sacrifice. effort or anything that the rest of us must strive to accomplish. They expect to receive love, support, and friendship without any participation which always puts them on the receiving end. When they take, take, take — it is only accepting what naturally belongs to them because they are so far superior to everyone else.
It goes without saying that such a perspective about their place in the world would not end with simple favors and preferential treatment. Many narcissists use their bodies to navigate life with a free pass — never concerning themselves with mundane things like earning a proper salary to make ends meet or worry that there will be enough.
