Thank you for writing this. Unfortunately, the ones who need to hear at the most are the ones who won’t read it. There is no such thing as public health and public welfare anymore. Money is all that matters. Well people worry about climate change and war, I think Covid will take us all down way before anything else has time to. It’s a slippery virus and heaven for bid it combined with something horrible like mers. It will be the end of us. I am immune compromised and still wear my mask, but most of the time I am the only one around me who does. I am a teacher, and I caught Covid from students in January. I was very ill and developed complications with skin hives and rashes, joint pain, and fatigue. Now, seven weeks later, I am still struggling to recover. Long Covid is very very real. We should all be pulling together and preparing and being proactive. But I look around and I know that’s not going to happen. We will have to learn the hard way and it’s going to be ugly.
