Thank you for a beautifully illuminating article. Unfortunately, my relationship with my husband fell into the ladder more dangerous category. Everything seemed idyllic for the most part with occasional bouts of something irrational or disturbing but quickly dismissed. When the discard came, I have a complete emotional, physical, spiritual collapse. Now, 22 months later, I still struggle. In the interim, I have begun to write about this phenomenon.
