The person with narcissistic personality disorder thinks everything is just a game they must always win.
The malignant covert narcissist and sociopath/psychopath do not live in the same world of reality as you do. They dwell in another dimension where everything is an Alice in Wonderland kind of rabbit hole delusion, a Peter Pan styled NeverLand, and a academy award winning performance in a production replete with dazzling color and larger than life extravaganzas of song and dance and exotic locales.
It is fiction.
It is fantasy.
It is delusion.
And for a while, you join them in the shared mutually psychotic delusion called the “shared fantasy.”
These days more than ever, it is quite tempting to escape reality with all of it’s horrors and difficulties and challenges and slip into the fluffy stuff of an imaginary place where the Wizard of Oz reigns supreme and you can spend your days in the halcyon paradise like the Lotus Eaters who indulged in the magic flower that kept them stranded on an island far from thier homes and those who were waiting there for them.
