A

Acting Out — Defense mechanism where an inner conflict manifests and presents as an action that contains aggression, defiance, or another negative emotion.

Amnesia — Loss of memory. Cluster B have selective amnesia related to object inconstancy (out of sight out of mind). They have no constellated memory thus no feelings of attachment. They erase you completely while keeping an artifact in the form of an introject in their head.

Affect — The outward presentation of our innermost feelings and how other people observe and interpret these expressions. Some people have flat affect: they maintain unresponsive, emotionless, monotonous, immobile, unmoved outward appearance/response (autistic, narcissistic, schizoid, psychopathic). Other people with the dramatic (Cluster B) personality disorders — (histrionic and the borderline) — have exaggerated and labile (changeable) affect.
