Crossroads
It has been raining for days, and the endless grey casts a melancholy mist over everything. Because of social distancing and my high-risk designation, it is impossible to have guests come into the house. But I had an opportunity recently to visit with an energy worker visiting family here in Austin, so we ended up opening both garage doors and sitting at opposite ends while the cold rain relentlessly poured from the dark skies. Healers, lightworkers, and people who work with energy have been helpful during a time when I struggled to survive another day. Being suddenly disposed of without warning will break you in ways you never imagined. Although I am a faithful believer in the power of God to help me find power and purpose, having a little work done to clear the blocks in my chakras, seal the holes blasted in my aura, and perform cord cutting ceremonies (23, but who’s counting?) has been a beneficial tool in my arsenal of healing modalities along with therapy, support groups, acupuncture, reiki, and more. Throughout tour time together, she repeated the same message four different times. There was a word that became the motif of our time together and signaled my current stasis or paralysis or inability to move forward. She said it encapsulated the message that she was told to share with me. That word was Crossroads.
